For a PE owned North American mining equipment manufacturer experiencing significant growth, Quantum conducted cycle time and capacity assessment at its largest plant, to meet growth needs. Quantum mapped the order to ship value streams from suppliers through manufacturing and shipment, estimated cycle times for every step in the process, and identified issues and bottlenecks that affected throughput. Quantum also conducted an OEE assessment of the key manufacturing work centers. Based on these, Quantum conducted leadership workshops to develop a prioritized list of opportunities and initiatives for the company to pursue.
