For a PE owned North American mining equipment manufacturer experiencing significant growth, Quantum conducted cycle time and capacity assessment at its largest plant, to meet growth needs.  Quantum conducted multiple value stream workshops with process participants to map the order to ship value streams from order to ship including planning, procurement, supply chain, manufacturing and shipment. Quantum estimated cycle times for every step in the process and identified issues and bottlenecks that affected throughput.  Quantum also modeled the last  12 months OEE by equipment type and work centers.  Based on these, Quantum conducted leadership workshops to develop a prioritized list of opportunities and initiatives for the company to pursue.
